Our insurers

Familiar names. Differences worth understanding.

Insurers can take different approaches to policy benefits and the information in an application. Our role is to consider those differences alongside the cover you need and the budget you have available.

How we assess the options

We look at the relevant products, policy terms and the insurer's assessment of your circumstances. An insurer offering the lowest initial price may not offer the most suitable final terms for your needs.

Our insurer relationships

Our protection panel includes Aviva, The Exeter, Guardian, Legal & General, LV=, Royal London, Scottish Widows, Zurich, Shepherds Friendly and Cirencester Friendly. Product availability varies, and not every provider offers every type of cover.

What our recommendation explains

We explain the cover being recommended, why it is suitable and the important limitations. If an insurer offers revised terms after assessing your application, we discuss what those changes mean before you decide.

Does a familiar logo mean my application will be accepted? No. Acceptance and final terms are decided by the insurer.

How do you decide which policies to consider? We focus on the relevant cover available from our panel, taking account of your needs, budget and the insurers’ product and underwriting criteria. We explain the reasons for our recommendation and any important limitations.
